Project Brief

Overview: Studio Knytis was a comprehensive, hands-on learning initiative undertaken for the Hyper Island Digital Creative 2026 course. This project tasked students with forming a fully operational creative studio, developing its complete brand identity, and then executing full-scope digital strategy and creative production for two distinct, real-world clients: the home renovation specialists Dryft, and the culinary startup Bestick. The project simulated a complete agency workflow, from initial client briefing and strategy development to final implementation and performance analysis.

Challenges:

  1. Defining and launching the Studio's Identity: Establishing a coherent brand and operational model for Studio Knytis itself while simultaneously juggling client demands.

  2. Delivering High-Impact Results under Real Constraints: Solving complex, high-stakes business challenges for two clients operating in different sectors (B2C home services and culinary tech) within tight timelines, all while navigating the steep learning curve of new channels (like Pinterest) and limited resources.

Objective:

To successfully operate as a professional creative agency, delivering strategic and measurable digital solutions that directly addressed each client's core business needs:

  • For Dryft: To unlock a high-intent marketing channel (Pinterest) and provide actionable insights for optimizing their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and conversion funnel, ultimately increasing market presence and transparency in the home services sector.

  • For Bestick: To execute bold, awareness-building marketing campaigns and produce high-quality visual assets to drive app discovery and position them as the leading platform connecting food enthusiasts with emerging culinary talent.

Studio Knytis Brand Identity

To launch the studio, the team executed a complete branding process, including:

  • Creative Concept Development: Defining the core concept and personality of Studio Knytis.

  • Stylescape and Visual Direction: Creating a stylescape to guide the look and feel.

  • Brand Guidelines: Deciding on final branding, color palettes, and creating a comprehensive Branding Book.

  • Foundational Assets: Executing a professional team photoshoot and building core digital presences, including an Instagram Page, a Website, and a LinkedIn profile.

Client 1: Client 1: Dryft (Home Services & Renovation)Dryft (Home Services & Renovation)

Dryft specializes in home renovations and fixes, aiming to provide transparency and accessibility in a historically opaque market.

Project Scope: The project had a large scope, focusing on building Dryft's presence on Pinterest and optimizing their CRM and conversion funnel. This included full ownership of organic and paid Pinterest campaigns, setting up content and SEO strategies, and analyzing advertising data. On the strategic side, we conducted Customer Journey Mapping and analyzed the sales funnel.

Key Deliverables & Results:

  • Pinterest Playbook a complete guide for building awareness from audience insights and SEO setup to a 24-week roadmap

  • Insight Report based on 9 customer interviews

  • Concept Deck of creative solutions

  • Implementation Roadmap for efficient concept rollout

We achieved a remarkable 1.31 Million % increase in monthly impressions on Pinterest (131.18K total impressions) from 132 pins. Our paid campaigns delivered superior engagement and CPC, while organic content helped identify successful content patterns.

Tools: Figma, Canva, Notion, Slack, Pinterest Trends, Pinterest Analytics

Learnings: The biggest challenge was navigating a new, large-scope channel (Pinterest) for both the studio and the client, requiring a long-term, "marathon" approach. This challenge was mitigated by the client's generosity with internal data, enabling a highly effective, cyclical, data-driven workflow.

Client 2: Bestick (Culinary Tech Startup)

Bestick is an app connecting food enthusiasts with emerging chefs, with a goal of making fine dining more accessible. Their main challenge was gaining recognition and attracting users to book experiences.

Project Scope: Our engagement with Bestick involved two distinct projects. First, we developed a bold, unexpected marketing campaign using playful, "in-your-face" posters designed to immediately grab attention and spark curiosity. Second, we executed a full professional photoshoot, managing concept development, styling, photography, and editing to create trust-building visual assets that reflected the brand.

Key Deliverables & Results: The poster campaign generated a strong initial spike in traffic, peaking dramatically and showing high immediate engagement. While traffic normalized afterward, we achieved a notable 25% Scan-to-Download Conversion Rate from the posters, resulting in 52 total app downloads. The photoshoot successfully provided high-quality visual content to professionalize the brand's image.

Learnings: The collaborion had a short duration and lacked extensive resources, limiting our ability to track and affect long-term outcomes. However, the client's openness allowed for great creative freedom and delivered the instant gratification of a high-impact creative output. Key takeaways for the studio included the necessity of aligning on preferred working styles and setting clear boundaries with the client.

Things I Did and Learnings

Studio Knytis Branding: I contributed to the development of the studio’s brand identity, specifically in content creation and strategy for our social media presence. Using Canva and Photoshop, I produced carousel and text posts for the Instagram and LinkedIn pages. A continuous part of my role was providing critical feedback to the team to ensure visual and strategic consistency across all platforms.

Client 1: Dryft (Major Role): My role for Dryft involved taking full ownership of their Pinterest presence. I developed the entire Pinterest strategy, which required a deep dive into studying the platform’s algorithm and identifying key trends to maximize reach and conversion intent. I managed the account completely, creating the posting calendar and handling the end-to-end workflow, from collaborating with the copywriter for approval to scheduling and publishing content weekly from Week 43 to 46. I also assisted the design team in the production of specific pins using Canva when needed. Furthermore, I created the strategy, set up, and initially managed the paid advertising campaign. The project concluded with me synthesizing and delivering all performance insights and the future strategic roadmap to the client.

Client 2: Bestick (Supporting Role): My involvement here was mainly supportive. I participated in all client and internal meetings, consistently providing strategic feedback and critical insights to the group throughout the duration of the project.

Key Learnings and Professional Growth

My main takeaway from the Studio Knytis experience was the discovery of a strong interest and aptitude for social media strategy and deep platform study. The challenge of mastering Pinterest was unique, providing deep, unique learning about algorithm management, trend analysis, and strategic content planning for a new channel.

I greatly valued the experience of having a fixed, specialized role (Content Strategist) within the group, which successfully simulated the structure of a real agency. This experience solidified my professional path, although it also highlighted a desire to be more actively involved in the creative execution aspect of future projects.

Operationally, I learned the critical importance of setting clear client boundaries and aligning on working styles to ensure project efficiency and team well-being ("Rest fuels creativity" became a key operational insight).
